The Belt and Road Initiative for Sustainable Development (BRISD), in collaboration with the China Association for NGO Cooperation (CANGO) and NaaS Technology, held a groundbreaking press conference during COP-29 in Azerbaijan to unveil the “2024 White Paper on Carbon Inclusion Development.” This landmark event marked a significant stride toward fostering public engagement in sustainable development and carbon reduction efforts.

Mr. Qaiser Nawab, President of BRISD, delivered a compelling keynote address highlighting the importance of partnerships between civil society organizations (CSOs) and enterprises in addressing global sustainability challenges.

“Enterprises and social organizations are vital partners in driving transformative change for sustainability,” said Qaiser Nawab. “This collaboration is a testament to the power of synergy, as it promotes innovative solutions to climate challenges while fostering inclusivity.”

The conference underscored the role of integrated development between social and traditional enterprises in enhancing public participation in carbon reduction initiatives. With the unveiling of the White Paper, NaaS Technology and CANGO showcased a successful Chinese practice in promoting carbon-inclusive development.

 • Release of the White Paper: A comprehensive case study on carbon-inclusive development practices in China, presented by NaaS Technology and the Chengdu Carbon Inclusive Platform.

 • Launch of an Initiative: Led by BRISD, CANGO, and NaaS Technology, this initiative aims to strengthen global cooperation between CSOs and enterprises to address pressing environmental challenges.
